We are pretty sure the lion felt so comfortable next to Sid because he could sense the connection they both have to Africa. The blond kid just to the right of him wasn't nearly as lucky.
He really liked sitting by the kitty-kitat. If it closed its eyes for a few seconds, he was quick to assume it was sleeping.
A very contemplative pose, Sophia wasn't sure it was safe to be so close to these animals with just a thin layer of glass separating us.
Feeding time isn't just for the animals at the zoo.

The sharing with his sister is going well, making sure she gets enough cheerios.
Notice the nice tilt of our right hip to hold the kids. Does anyone know if this can cause permanent problems?
After putting Sid in the stroller, it was easier to just lift up the whole thing than keep getting him in and out for various exhibits.
At first glance, we thought this was just a turtle statue.
Sid offering a drink to the kimono dragon. I was surprised that he wasn't at all freaked out that this huge lizard was just inches from him.

It was tough finding a meer cat willing to pose with our family for this photo, but this one did it for only $1. The kids got a kick of watching them running so quickly back and forth.
It was getting near the end of our time at the zoo, and we had gone well past lunch time. Sid was starting to zone out. I probably looked more glazed over.
A greasy lunch at the zoo. Of course we couldn't get all four people looking at the camera.
We got Sid some new sunglasses today. The muscle shirt was just a coincidence. He likes to ride with me on the bike. Korri and I were getting Sophia out of the car, and he quickly went and got on, where I caught him for this photo.
Sophia loved getting to be a biker chick. Sid seems embarrassed that the guys might see him giving his sister a ride.

Today was a great day. We continue to be amused by various things they do. Sid has learned to say please (ikease) most of the time. However, because he is told to say please, the phrase often comes out, "Sidota habilo (a bite) cornbread say ikease inet (for me)."

Sophia, the last couple nights, has started bopping her head to the music as I sing (a subjective term) to get her to sleep. Tonight, it became hard to try to sing while I was laughing pretty hard on the inside. It was just cute to watch her do with a great big smile on her face.
Well, that's it for today, we are so blessed to have these kids.
