We got this Mr. Potato Head and Friends set on sale at Big Lots. The "Grown Near Nuclear Reactors" set included the tradition potato, along with a carrot and an ear of corn. I think you can see why this product didn't stay in mainstream stores for long. The kids really enjoy playing with these, and they were a gift from our good friends Dani, Kirk and Amanda
. Sidota is almost as fascinated with the clear plastic
style carrying case. Many toys end up getting toted around in that during the day.

Sid quickly found other uses for this chair that his Great Grandmother Kinney gave him. He sat and enjoyed the view of the waterfall for a couple seconds, then the fun began. He loves spending time outside. He doesn't yet seem to have a big interest in watching TV, which we won't try to change.

These two both simply love bath time. Sid and Sophia both could spend over an hour in there every day without a problem.

Not many drivers are this happy after a front end collision. We turned the car around and she walked it into the kitchen. Then back to hitting the door. Then back to the kitchen. Then back to the door. I could go on...
Korri and Sid were in the bathroom. I'm sure he patiently watched her getting ready for a couple seconds, then tried to amuse himself by...well, I'm not sure what he was doing. But he came out and showed me, and was happy to smile for the picture.

These are some of Sid's new shorts. He immediately strikes the
Sears catalog pose. As long as the waist fits, it looks like the length will be okay for a while.

In this episode, we find
Korri has gone stir-crazy and is using Elmo as a disciplinary tool. Needless to say, the kids scream and cry any time Sesame Street comes on the television. Seriously, she is singing "If You're Happy and You Know It" with Elmo, and the kids loved it.
Sidota is preparing for the Mr. 3 yr.-old
Nampa competition. Gotta get those poses lined up to look your best. Huge guns.

Sophia is obviously shocked, she was told that all photos would be tasteful, and only for family use.

Sophia is well on her way toward walking independently, but until then, she pushes around this car, cardboard boxes, clothes hampers, etc. She laughed so hard while doing this, we are just glad to have captured it. We rarely get pictures of her being so open with her joy.

Mealtime can be another of those situations where she can express pure joy. She is well on her way to signing a deal to lead a new "Milk Mustache" campaign. They just want permission to airbrush out the impression the milk glass leaves on her
forehead.
In general, the kids are doing great--better than either of us had hoped for. Again, we think many prayers are being answered. Today is the 3 week anniversary of our homecoming, which means about 1 week until we can venture out into public places with them.
A couple days ago Korri taught Sid to say I'm Sorry. It was a battle, and we'll see if it sticks. Today after he had a run in with Sophia, I asked him to apologize to her and he did. At those times when he has to say something he doesn't want to, they tend to come out very quiet, or mumbled. I don't think that is something specific to just our kid, though.
Thanks again for checking in and seeing how we're doing. God Bless.
P.S. Korri has a working phone, so feel free to call her with any blog complaints.
